STRANGER THINGS wins at Lighthouse Film Festival

A wonderful weekend of soaking in sun and cinema at the lovely Lighthouse International Film Festival was topped off with us winning the prize for Best Feature! Check out the fantastic lighthouse-shaped trophies. Shira and Yoav Potash, another husband-and-wife directing team, won Best Documentary with their film Food Stamped. The Feature Narrative Jury also gave us a coupon for a free game of mini-golf which they won during their deliberations.

Many thanks to everyone at the Lighthouse International Film Festival for putting together such an amazing event.

On the Road Again

Following a round of festivals that took Stranger Things all over the U.S. of A and, excitingly, garnered further accolades for the film, we have more upcoming stateside screenings to announce!

Coming right up, we’ll be in New Jersey at the Long Beach Island Historical Museum as part of the Lighthouse International Film Festival. The screening is on Saturday, June 4th at 4:30pm. We’ll be attending for the Q&A and are looking forward to getting out of the city and hitting the coast. Click here for the Stranger Things page on the LIFF festival website with more information.

Also in early June, Stranger Things is in competition at the Little Rock Film Festival. The line-up is great and includes some of the best indie gems out on the circuit at the moment. We’ve been traveling with a lot of these films and they are well worth checking out. Look out for Benavides Born by Amy Wendel, Gunhill Road by Rashaad Ernesto Green, Prairie Love by Dusty Bias,  Septien by Michael Tully, and Disco by Luke Snellin, among others. Stranger Things screens on June 2nd and June 3rd. Click here for the Stranger Things page on the Little Rock FF website with more information.

As we’ve already announced, we’re looking forward with great anticipation to our New York City premiere at BAMcinemaFEST at the end of June. Please spread the word among your New York friends! We hope to see you all there. We’ll post the screening time as soon as it’s official. In the meantime, here’s a taster of what the festival is about from The New Yorker.
